The Weight of Objects is a portrait project that reveals people through stories about their most treasured belongings. It was created by Kristen Joy Watts. All pictures are by Ramsay de Give.
Tumblr recently featured us on Tumblr Tuesday, a weekly list of Tumblrs to follow, and profiled us on Storyboard. And The Daily Beast, in its list of the best destinations on the Web, called this project “probably the most sophisticated Tumblr” to make the cut.
Ramsay de Give, photographer | rdg is a photographer by trade, farmer by heart. He freelances for The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among others. He makes pictures for The Weight of Objects with a Bronica SQ-A, “a tank of a camera,” and medium-format film. You can follow him on Instagram and Tumblr.
